When treating the bite area , use alcohol to treat it. Alcohol have the antibacterial effect that is important for your dog health . Then , use tweezzers to pull away the tick. Pull it upward slowly and put it into jar. Do not pull away the tick rooughly, cause it will make the tick squirt its dangerous fluid. This fluid is very infective .
( 5 ) Extra precaution
Sometime, the mouth part of the tick still embedded in your pet skin. One thing to do is to remove it is by compressing it with warm compress. This will make your pet’s body to expel it naturally . Do not try to attempt pull it away using tweezers .
( 6 ) Disinfect thoroughly
After doing all the procedures , do not forget to disinfected the dog skin. Wash your hands witha proper disinfectant.
( 7 ) Monitor the bite area
After finish remove tick from your dog , you must always monitor the bite area . If there is no redness occur in the bite area , it means that your dog is in good shape; but if you find redness, take your dog to the veteriner and bring a long your tick for medical evaluation.
