How To Apply Advantix For Dogs Step by Step Instruction

 

 

From my previous article, I had discus the advantage of Advantix  . As you all may know , Advantix really helpful to our dog’s health. Without it, your dog’s health would be in jeopardy. I’m not saying that  Advantix is the only solution for our dogs but, from my previous experience is that , this product is an effective method in keeping troublesome insects such as fleas , flies and ticks at bay. I’m not trying to be bias here.

 

In today post, I will emphasize on how to apply Advantix for dogs . Canine tick is really troublesome if it is not treated properly. Do not worry!  I will share the step by step instruction on how you can do it easily.

 

The first thing is that you must make sure that your dog is in standing position. This act will make it easier to apply the advantix for dogs . If your dog is small in size, just put it at an elevated position. If you dog is very big , just stay beside it and you will be fine.

 

The second step is, you must make sure that the area at the shoulder and back of the dogs is clear. We do that to expose the skin for an easy applying of Advantix . Instead of that, it will make the dog ticks removal process a breeze.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The third step is preparing the dosages. According to Bayer Healthcare , the appropriate dosages are :

 

*Dog less or same than 4 kg : 0.4ml volume of Advantix.

*Dog 4 to 10 kg : 1.0 ml volume of Advantix.

*Dog 10 to 25 kg : 2.5 ml volume of Advantix.

*Dog more than 25 kg : 4.0 ml volume of Advantix.

 

 

The fourth step is to remove the tube cap and rub it slowly at the shoulder and back of the dogs. Few tips that I find useful to get the maximum effects of Advantix is that apply it on a few location (2 to 5 places is okay). This will ensure thorough spreading on the intended area. Instead of that, put it correctly to the skin.  This will remove the canine tick efficiently. As a precaution method, do it steadily and keep it from entering your dog mouth and eye.
